Kids party budget: how to compare venue quotes
A low advertised package price does not always mean a lower total. Compare written quotes for the same children, adults and party time before choosing a venue. This guide helps you build a budget without relying on an old price list.
Start with your guest list
Count children, accompanying adults and siblings separately. Ask whether the birthday child is included in the package and which visitors pay for entry. A package for ten children can have different adult allowances from another package for ten.
Compare the complete cost
- Venue or room hire, activity tickets and the included session length.
- Extra children, adult entry and minimum or maximum package numbers.
- Food, drinks, birthday cake, outside-catering fees and kitchen access.
- Required equipment such as socks, plus decorations, setup and cleanup.
- Optional entertainers, party bags, extra activities and photography.
- Overtime, damage deposits, taxes and any booking charges.
Ask the provider to separate compulsory charges from optional extras. Only compare a per-child total once you know what is included and how many guests are charged.
Use the same quote request for each venue
Send your preferred date, age range, number of children and adults, desired activities, party duration and catering needs. Ask for a total payable amount and a list of excluded items. Keep the quote date and the period for which it remains valid.
Understand the deposit and balance
Check how the date is reserved, when the balance is due and when the final guest number must be confirmed. Read cancellation, postponement, bad-weather and refund terms before paying. Pay the venue through its confirmed official arrangements; Kids Party Finder does not collect party booking payments at launch.
Keep a small plan for changes
Ask how an extra child, a late arrival or a change of date affects the total. Decide which optional extras can be removed if your budget is tight. Do not assume that a deposit is refundable or that unused tickets can be credited.
